What are the requirements my dog has to meet in order to participate in day camp?
To be considered for day camp, dogs must be current on required vaccinations, be on an effective flea and tick preventative, and not be aggressive or extremely dominant. In order to ensure the comfort and safety of all of our day camp participants, a temperament evaluation is required prior to participation. This evaluation helps us determine if day camp is right for your dog. It also helps us determine which playmates your dog will have the most fun with so that we can place him or her in an appropriate play group. Please call us to schedule a time for you and your dog to come in for the temperament evaluation. We will guide you through the process, including completion of applicable registration forms, and answer any questions you may have. The initial enrollment visit takes about one hour and is essential to your dog’s successful participation in day camp.

Can my puppy attend day camp?
Day camp can be very beneficial for puppies, as it provides a wonderful socialization experience. We welcome puppies who are emotionally mature enough to enjoy group play activities. If our temperament evaluation indicates that day camp may be too intimidating for your puppy and he or she needs a little more time to grow up, we recommend first trying our puppy care program on a day visit basis. We will watch over your "little one" with extra TLC, special attention and nurturing activities designed to help ensure he or she grows into a confident adult dog.

How do I make reservations?
For reservations to attend Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort day camp, please contact us by telephone or by email through our website. All reservations must be confirmed by telephone or in person. Please call us, we will be happy to discuss the reservation process and the other options available for making arrangements for your dog to participate in day camp.

What is your cancellation policy for day camp reservations?
Although there is no fee for canceling a day camp reservation, as a courtesy we request 24 hour notice for cancellations.

What days can my dog attend day camp? When can I drop off and pick up my dog?
Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort day camp is held from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. You can drop off your dog any time during day camp hours. All dogs, unless they are overnight guests, should be picked up by 7 p.m.

Can my dog be administered medication while participating in day camp?
We will be happy to administer oral or topical medications, vitamins or supplements your dog may require. Please bring all medications in the original prescription container, with the dog’s name, dosage and reason for the medication. Over-the-counter medications must be accompanied by a veterinarian’s dosage recommendation. A small service charge may apply.

How will I know how my dog’s day was?
We maintain a low dog-to-staff ratio in our day camp groups, which allows us to have meaningful interaction with our day camp participants. We enjoy visiting with pet parents, and will let you know how your dog’s day was, or answer any special questions you may have, when you pick up your dog or at any other time that is convenient for you. We also provide periodic report cards for each of our day camp participants, allowing you to monitor your dog’s progress towards achievement of special goals or milestones.

Can I add leisure activities to my dog's day camp reservation?
Absolutely! Although our day camp program provides plenty of entertainment, exercise and fun, we also have a large selection of playtime services and leisure activities available if you want to spoil your four-legged friend. Day boarding with individual playtime may also be an option you want to consider for your dog.

Can my dog participate in training activities while he or she is attending day camp? 
Yes! Private sessions with our trainer are available in 20-minute intervals for day camp participants. This can be a very effective way to provide your dog with playtime and exercise as well as provide training to reinforce a previously learned behavior or work on a specific skill!

Can I add spa services to my dog's day camp reservation?
Certainly! Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort offers a Spa Day in which guests spend the morning playing in day camp and the afternoon being pampered in our luxury day spa. Our guest services associates will be happy to book your Spa Day reservation and discuss the type of grooming services you would like for your dog!
