Can my kitty stay at the resort?
Certainly! We welcome kitties who have completed the full series of vaccinations, including the rabies vaccine, no less than 72 hours (three days) prior to their scheduled stay.

I have multiple cats. Can they board together?
Absolutely! Cats from the same family can certainly share accommodations. We offer accommodations that are comfortable and spacious for multiple cat households. Please fill out the room-sharing agreement upon check-in.

Are cats allowed out of their accommodations?
Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort offers a wide selection of leisure activities to suit any feline personality. We will be happy to treat your cat to activities such as quiet cuddling, brushing, story time and toy chase games. Cats enjoy these activities in a separate indoor area tailored especially for them.

What should I do to prepare for my cat's check-in?
Please make arrangements to ensure that we have current vaccination records prior to arrival. You may contact your veterinarian and request that they email or fax your cat’s records to us, or we will contact your veterinarian for you. For faster check-in, email or fax applicable registration forms to us prior to arrival. You may also provide the forms to us when you check-in. Special diets, medications, or other requests should be communicated to us at check‑in and a scheduled check-out time should also be discussed. In addition, leisure activities can be scheduled when you make your reservation. Most importantly, do not hesitate to call us if you have any questions about the check-in process or our facility!

When can I drop off and pick up my cat?
Our arrival and departure process is designed for your convenience. Guests may arrive or depart any time during our business hours. Check-in or check-out outside of these hours may be arranged a $40 service fee, dependent on staff availability. If possible, we prefer that guests arrive at least one hour prior to closing. Similar to hotels for pet parents, check-in and check-out time is 12 noon. Pet parents that pick up their pets by 12 noon will not be charged for that day. 

How do I make reservations?
For reservations at Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort, please contact us by telephone or email. All reservations must be confirmed by telephone or in person. We will be happy to discuss all of the accommodations and leisure activities we offer! Holiday and peak period reservations should be made well in advance.

What is your cancellation policy for reservations?
During holidays or peak seasons we require a two-night deposit. A refund, less a $10 service fee, will be provided for cancellations made within 72 hours (three days) of the arrival date.

Can I come in for a tour?
You can certainly come and visit us anytime during regular business hours Monday through Sunday. We will be delighted to take you on an informative tour of the public areas at Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort.

Can I bring my cat’s favorite toys and bedding from home for use while he or she is an overnight guest?
Although we do everything in our power to make sure our guests are as content as possible, we understand that cats may enjoy the comfort of familiar items during their time away from home. We ask for your cooperation in limiting the amount of belongings you send with your cat to two favorite items (toys, blankets) which are labeled with your cat’s name and can be laundered and/or sanitized daily using our in-house, commercial-grade equipment. Please be aware these articles may be lost or damaged due to our daily sanitation procedures.

What happens when a cat in your care needs veterinary care?
If your cat should require medical attention while in our care, our standard procedure is to contact your veterinarian and then contact you or your emergency contact. Should the nature of your cat's illness require an office visit, we reserve the right to utilize a veterinarian near our facility (this decision depends on the illness and the travel time to your veterinarian). Any costs arising from medical care that we pay on your cat’s behalf will be billed to you at check-out.
